Our mission

1. To offer quality medical care to individuals who do not have access to existing medical care for various reasons;
2. To support individuals in the area of medicine coordinating with other social resources offered by government, NGOs and medical institutions; and
3. To feed back experience and knowledge gained from clinical services to the society and the community.

The services provided by Shirakaba Clinic include:

• ・Primary health care
• ・Confidential and anonymous HIV/STD counseling and testing
• ・Specialty care (infectious diseases, HIV/STD, plastic surgery)
• ・Mental health care and counseling
• ・Operation in the evening and weekend

What we test: HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B. The result will be available within approximately 30 minutes.
Cost for the test: JPY 3,675 (including tax)
The counseling and testing are confidential and anonymous.

We offer immunizations for communicable diseases as below.

When Hepatitis A and B vaccines are administered on the same day, the cost is JPY 9,450.
Influenza vaccine should be administered before high season, preferably before December.
We will offer other immunizations upon your request.
Please consult us well in advance (>3 months) for pre-travel immunizations.

3. HIV/STD counseling and testing

We offer confidential counseling and testing for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B. The result will be available within approximately 30 minutes. Other STD can be also tested such as Chlamydia and gonorrhea (the result will be returned in 1 week).

4. HIV/STD treatment and care

We offer comprehensive primary care and treatment to HIV positive individuals. Our team will support you in relation with referral hospitals, NGOs and local government.

5. Immunizations

Hepatitis A&B and influenza vaccines are available. Other type of vaccines can be requested.

Plastic surgery/dermatology

1. Dermatology

Primary dermatology care and treatment including skin diseases related to infectious diseases.

2. Small surgery

We offer small surgery including resection of small tumor or scar revision.

Mental health care & counseling

1. Primary mental health care and treatment

Services include psychiatric evaluation, brief counseling and prescription.

2. Counseling

We assist you deal with personal issues and life events by individual counseling service (45 minutes).
